What is Relaxed Yoga?

Have you ever longed for a space where you could actually just pause? A place where you can let go of the pressure to perform or achieve and simply allow yourself to rest?

Today's modern expectation is often inescapably fast-paced, we often feel the pull to do more, move faster, and strive harder—even in our yoga practice and when we can't keep up with the unsustainable standards it can leave us feeling - less than. Would you believe me if I told. you there was another way? What if you could experience yoga that invites you to slow down, to soften, and to simply be?

That’s why I’m excited to introduce a new online offering—Relaxed Yoga. This session is designed for those who crave a moment of stillness, a chance to connect with their inner selves in a calm and supportive environment. It’s a gentle combination of simple yoga movements and the deep rest of Yoga Nidra. Together, these practices create a space where you can release tension, shush the mind, and return to a state of wholeness.

The Class Structure: Easeful Movement and Deep Rest

The session begins with gentle yoga, focused on ease and simplicity. No complex postures, no need to push or stretch beyond your limits, no up and down off the floor over and over again. These movements are built with rest in mind, we learn to tune into our body’s natural rhythms, helping you to reconnect with yourself through mindful motion. This is yoga that meets you exactly where you are—whether you’re new to the practice or a seasoned yoga practitioners seeking a simpler and softer approach.

Movement is sandwiched between shorter Yoga Nidra, for a deeply restorative practice. Yoga Nidra isn’t about holding poses or stretching; it’s about letting them go. You’ll be invited to rest in a comfortable position and follow my voice as I guide you through a series of gentle instructions. We’ll begin by setting an intention, something that resonates with your deepest desires, and then move through a body scan, inviting relaxation into each part of your being.

With Yoga Nidra, the beauty is in its simplicity. All you need to do is be you. The practice leads you into a state of deep rest—where your body, mind, and spirit can reset and renew. It’s a practice that allows you to feel whole without having to change a thing.
